jedikalex
I'm currently using Maxxuss's Ensoniq AudioPCI drivers for my Creative AudioPCI in native and everything works except that after 15 minutes or so, or even under heavy load, all the sound output becomes distorted until I unload the kext and reload it.. Is there any solution to my problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14138-creative-audiopci-sluggish/ Share on other sites
skeewiff
Same Problem here. I don´t need to reload the kext just press pause/ play in the audio program you,re reproducing music ( itunes, etc) and the sound is ok again. I don´t have this problem with my onboard Via audio (tought is only left channel) but the reproduction is smooth. Any Ideas? I would like to have this fixed cauz I think that my soundblaster is better than my onboard audio. jedikalex
Yeah doing the same in iTunes does the same fix for me.. I wish I could use my onboard soundcard lol... SBlive 24bit with 7.1 surround :/ Such a waste of a nice speaker system on a stereo solution.. bananafranco
I have the same problem. Via Onboard = only left channel Soundblaster = after couple of minutes distored playback. First I thought it was related to my Energy Saver settings but no luck in changing them. Somebody knows a fix for this (want to listen to audiobooks to fall asleep without getting up every 15 minutes or so to hit the spacebar twice....) jedikalex
Is everyone here using 10.4.4 or 10.4.5? I'm going to test this out on 10.4.3 and see if it fixes the problem. But before I take the time to get a 4.3 disc can anyone having this problem tell me if they are already using 10.4.3? jedikalex
Well that's no good Maybe someday Maxxuss will release an updated version... But I don't he's going to wait 5 months between updates.. So I think we are screwed unless one of us having the problem can figure it out. skeewiff
Jedi The funny thing is the only time I run the patch was the first time I went to the 10.4.3 the other times that I´ve installed the OSX86 I didn´t put the maxxuss patch and the card was recognized as well Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14138-creative-audiopci-sluggish/#findComment-92312 Share on other sites
jedikalex
That's most likely because Maxxuss's patch's are installed already on most stuff. His audio patch is preinstalled on my 10.4.4/5 dvd.
