miscbeep
Hello guys, My question is - I have 4 partitions on my Windows system right now. C/D/E/F. The "D" is the Windows one, the rest of them are Movies, Music etc. I'm curious, when I boot the Leopard DVD and I get to the partition tool in the installer, will it show the four partitions, so I can choose which to format and install Leopard on ? Cause I can't do any back up, and I don't want to lose anything. So will this work as an idea ? I mean, I'll select the Windows partition, format it and install Leopard on it ( the rest will stay as they are) . All of them are NTFS, I've red OS X sees this format.. Gujal
OSX needs to be on a Primary Partiton Most Probably (standard Windows method) you have partitioned as Follows C: Primary One large Extended partiton D: Logical E: Logical F: Logical Without repartitioning, you can install OSX only on C: partition as it is the only Primary Partiton Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141357-partitioning-question/#findComment-1001885 Share on other sites
miscbeep
I don't know, but for first time D:/ Is my Windows partition. I had Vista, installed XP and it went on D:/. So in my case, D is the primary right ? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141357-partitioning-question/#findComment-1002492 Share on other sites
Gujal
Go in to Disk Management in Windows and post the screen shot, so we can see how it is partitioned Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141357-partitioning-question/#findComment-1003641 Share on other sites
