UnaClocker
I'm running iATKOS 5i, I upgraded to 10.5.6, which went FLAWLESSLY.. I love you iATKOS! I didn't have to run any scripts in the background, no fancy tricks at all. Just run it from Software Update and never look back. Which is the whole reason I upgraded to iATKOS 5i from my 6 month old Kalyway install last week. I had been using HDAEnabler to get my ALC888 sound on my Abit IP35-e motherboard to work. After the update, sound was gone. I reinstalled the audio kexts, and my audio icon came back, I can turn it up and down with the keyboard and all, but nothing comes out the speakers anymore. Uggg.. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/141224-upgraded-to-1056-no-audio-output-alc888/ Share on other sites
UnaClocker
Blah.. Disregard.. I'm a putz.. heh.. Somehow it had switched audio outputs in the pref pane. Selected Line-Out instead of headphones and it's all good again. I'd delete this thread completely if this forum would let me. Thanks for taking the time to read this, anyways. Tek
Ya was gonna say... how can that be a flawless upgrade if the audio device no longer worked. Good that you figured it out though. UnaClocker
When it comes to a point update on a hackintosh, my definition of flawless is pretty low..
