I have an Acer 6930 and, like many others have stated in this thread, the AttansicL1eEthernet kext does not seem to work at all for this model. The device ID matches perfectly, yet the ethernet is not detected (using Leopard). I would greatly appreciate any solution.

try install the fixed IOPCIfamily.kext

Hi Reader02,

Unfortunately, even with the updated IOPCIfamily.kext (from: http://www.kexts.com/view/101-iopcifamily....now_32-64.html) and the updated file you attached, it still can't seem to detect the network card at all. I've now tried in 10.6.2.

Dont work on my acer 6930g both 10.5.7 & 10.6.3. But when i looked under osx86tools is different as seen below

09:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter [1969:1026] (rev b0)

device id: still the same as 1969:1026

Hope this gets sorted ;)

try this

In Acer Aspire 6930, ethernet is in bus number 6 I think.

Could you add the line "hw_addr_ = pdev->mapDeviceMemoryWithRegister(kIOPCIConfigBaseAddress6)"?

I tried, but I get this error: "'kIOPCIConfigBaseAddress6' was not declared in this scope".

No, my bad, it's in pci slot Nº 5

Not working w/ 1005HA...

and then I found this kext for my 1005HA

Ethernet controller [0200]: Attansic Technology Corp. [1969:1062] (rev c0)

For Leopard: 1969_1062_Leopard.zip

For Snow Leopard: 1969_1062_SnowLeopard.zip

Now my 1005HA ethernet can fly high to the sky... lolol
