After a while, i get an erroro message (-v option on boot) "Waiting for root device". This goes on and on. My configuration is this: Motherboard = Intel DG33FB Prosessors= Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Memory = DDR2 4GB BIOS ACHI enabled, therefore only SATA1 working ! HDD1 = ST3500320AS (SATA0) HDD2 = WDC WD2500KS-OMJBO (SATA1) DVD = Optiarc DVD RW AD-5170A IEEE1934 = Texas Instruments OCHI IEEE Video = NVidia GeForce 8800GT Audio1 = Aureon 5.1 PCI Audio2 = Intel MB Audio Realtek (Disabled) LAN = Intel 82566DC-2 GB Eth WLAN = Realtek RTL8185 54M What should i do ? Is there some drivers what i should add ? How can i build my own install disk/usb from retail version ? or should i try Kalyway or something else ??? BW, Kari The HCL seems to suggest that your motherboard is compatible. It seems you will have to install Kalyway Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140891-intel-q6600-and-dg33fb-motherboard-success/#findComment-998117 Share on other sites

Kari_Juhani
On it's way now ... i'm a noob, as you can imagine. I have a MacBook ( 2 months ) and useally i run Linux on my Desktop, with some applications i must run XP. For Vista-DVD's i have found some other use, they work great as coasters for beer bottles. I actually managed to format my HDD to HFS Journaled when installer told me that there's no HDD's where to install. Now to question part .... If there is any devices that wont work after booting, how do i fix that? HLC said something about sound... Can this be done with retail dvd, with Micro$oft i dont feel bad at all if Bill is losing money, but iwould like to buy a version of OSX and install it to my PC. Or do i just buy it, and use this one ???? Kari Could not boot into OSX, had to use BOOT132 to boot from first HDD ??? This is not a problem, i just need to boot now everytime like this .... OSX WORKS ANYWAY !!!! HOw can i fix this ??? and no sound or LAN of course .. Kari Had to use Boot132 to start OSX .... did not boot right ??? No sound and LAN... how can i fix this ???
