alnova1
It seems like every once and a while when I use my Logitech 9000, it looks like a real isight camera on ichat...its not sluggish or slow, choppy video but more often than not, its the usual windows type web cam. Does anyone have an idea why this my be? i am running Xxx 10.5.5 which is running the best of any i have had so far. 2.40 quad-core, p5k-vm motherboard, nvidia 7300gt video. I call it my Black Mac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/140865-logitech-9000-pro-quick-cam-pro/ Share on other sites
mschilling
Do you mean in the preview window or in the view of another contact or both? Have you tried photobooth? alnova1
Do you mean in the preview window or in the view of another contact or both? Have you tried photobooth? Yes I have tried photobooth and it works fine. Its just like its in slow motion when using ichat. It reminds me of the old cheap webcams...but like I said before, it will look like a million bucks from time to time... It looks like im using a real isight cam or a real video cam. To answer your other question, the person on the other end of ichat's video feed looks fine to me, crystal clear. Its just me video on both ends that is slow. Audio is fine also. alnova1
I think solved my own problem. I think it was a memory issue. I was having problems with my computer locking up and going to grey screen when it was under a load so i looked and I had two different types of memory. I took out the different memory and so far I haven't had any lockups and I checked my webcam and it is working like a real isight camera right now. Who knows but I hope it stays that way! alnova1
I was wrong. After a reboot, the video is back to a typical web cam, not an isight cam...I give up! I guess it will be good video when it wants to be.
