I have the same computer (MD8383XL) I'm gonna try to install Kalyway but i want to keep my XP (i already have 2 partitions on the HDD) Do you have some tips to give me to successfully install Kalyway ? _n3o_ Posted December 18, 2008 Share Posted December 18, 2008 Ok , i've tryed and when i'm booting on the DVD and then press enter i have a Black screen and nothing else i ve tyed with F8 and -x -legacy -v and it stop with an error <panic>, same thing with only -x or only -s,etc... I'va also tryed the VanillaKernel . . . but it reboot directly. Can you please help me ? My specs are the same as Akimoa except : BIOS version : Rev 2.0 (V5.0C) DVD player/burner Pionneer 112D (IDE) 1Gb ram (2x256 + 512 Samsung (i also have 2x1Gb corsair but makes me have BSOD under windows :'( ) HDD 1 : 320Go SATA (2 partitions : 150Go windows XP pro (NTFS) + 150Go Datas(NTFS)) HDD 2 : 250Go SATA (2 partitions : 70Go for OSX (Fat32)+ 130Go Datas (NTFS)+ Os Selector) HDD3 : 320 Go IDE (2 partitions : 200Go Datas (NTFS) + 120 Go Datas (NTFS). I have removed the TV card I'm using a Dual Display (21" and 19" CRT screens) Have you changed the Bios configuration ? Now i have the installation menu ! ! ! ! ! ! I have tryed to modifie my OSX partition (HDD 2 : 250Go SATA (2 partitions : 70Go for OSX (Fat32)+ 130Go Datas (NTFS)+ Os Selector)) But it says Invalid Argument and now i have no partitions anymore ! ! ! ! (my wacom graphical tablet too and my Eyetoy mic ! ! (but no video ... maybe later) need to add dual screen support and ethernet driver. witalibox Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Hello. I've tried to install hackintosh on my Medion 8383 XL, but after rebooting the system stops at the apple screen. When I started it with -v it stops with this sentence: localhost mdnsresponder... Can someone please help me how to install Kalyway or iDeneb v1.4 on my Medion 8383 XL? I prefer iDeneb but I'm also thankful if somebody can help me with Kalyway. Sorry, for the bad english. Thanks.
