I just installed kalyway on this machine and its been working fine for a couple weeks, and all of a sudden this happened after i transported the machine. below is a video link that shows you what is displayed and below that i have a typed out description of what is going on.

PROBLEM: The error is that the computer is processing in spurts. this has only started happening after i transported the machine. before transporting the machine it was working fine with kalyway 10.5.2 installed working fast.

Now, this issue continues throughout whole boot sequence until it loads OSX. it slowly but successfully boots to mac OSX, however the system continues to run in slow spurts in OSX and it effects the performance of OSX. the weird thing is that once i restart after booting slow boot into a slow OS, the next boot sequence has the same slow boot up, however with every second boot sequence, the OS now works fine. It is in proper speed and response time. Restart again and then it goes back to slow boot / slow OS, Restart again and slow boot / normal speed OS. Restart again and then it goes back to slow boot / slow OS, Restart again and slow boot / normal speed OS. .. etc etc.

things i have done:

-replaced OCZ RAM with GSkillz RAM and same error

-tried booting with only 1 RAM slot occupied

-removed CPU and heat sync from Mobo and reapplied thermal paste

-Reinstalled Kalyway 10.5.2 and 10.5.3 update with vanilla kernal

-set overclocking to +10%, still same error

Ok, I don't know exactly what the problem is but it seems to be memory related:

- try removing/readjusting your memory cards and leave just one in (if you have more than one).

- boot with your battery removed.

- remove your hard drive and boot without it to see if it is somehow related to the HDD controller.

- reset your BIOS (you might want to write down your current settings first).
