With a Mac, you can surf any dodgy website with impunity - if you want to. No need to worry about spyware, viruses, that kind of thing. Although I must confess, Vista's security is also beefed up enough that an Antivirus is unnecessary. Amazing, but true.

Why OSX is immunized against viruses, malicious and other disease?

It’s just simple… The OSX system (in fact every UNIX, Linux system) protected by password and without password you cannot change anything in the system so what is the benefit to create virus who doesn’t know your password and can’t harm your system!!! ;)

^^Hence why you should still run an antivirus, to keep your Windows friends safe.

So let me see if I got you right: Symantec Antivirus (for example) for Macintosh need to supply me with daily windows virus definition updates so I can keep my Windows friends safe when sending emails/exchanging data?

Sweet! :D
