I installed iatkos 4i on my ip35-e. everything works fine but bootup is extremely slow. it waits for about 30 seconds before it prints "IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols" and another few seconds and then prints " InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce". After this boots up. Once running things are fine.

I am using just a sata hdd. i have a ide dvd rw but dont have jmicron kext installed, so i dont use it in osx (shortly replacing with sata dvd-rw)

any help would be appreciated

Wild.. I couldn't even see my SATA hard drive with iAtkos 4i on my IP35-e.. You got farther than I did..

The old Kalyway works well, as does iDeneb 1.3, I see no lag on bootup with either of those.

for ideneb 1.3 can you install with ide dvd-rw or need sata.

any other issues with ideneb 1.3, does sleep work

does it come with sound/network drivers

SATA is a must, both the hard drive and DVD drive. Time to let go of the past. ;)

Yeah, sound is no big deal at all. iDeneb 1.3 includes the ALC888 driver.

Onboard NIC hasn't worked since 10.5.4, I have a PCI Intel card using the Tulip driver.

I have never been able to get the machine to wake from sleep. I've spent a good deal of time trying.

Just FYI.. I installed iATKOS 5i on my machine just before 10.5.6 came out because it has the new PCEFIv9 that was specifically supposed to support 10.5.6.. Yup, works like a champ, and my bootups have never been so fast before. Quite impressive. I think it's got touches of Boot132 in it because I have a /Extra folder with extensions in it, and I didn't have to run any script in the background while doing the 10.5.6 update, I simply ran it and it worked.. ;)

why not try install retail leopard....it works great on abit IP35-e

faster boot around 26 second

I have working boot 132 iso for my setup if someone with abit ip35-e need it I will try to upload it

I have an Abit IP35-E and am trying to get an ISO that will boot my retail 10.5.6 DVD, if you can upload that ISO it would be very much appreciated.

Ya know, I accepted fireedo's offer of that ISO image 3 months ago. I never heard a peep out of him. I don't think you're going to get it. You'll have to roll your own. Shouldn't be too hard, the IP35 runs quite vanilla, there isn't much you need beyond the basic Boot132 disk.

Ya, I used one of the boot disks from f41qu3's guide here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113288

The one labeled at the end of the post "Download .ISO with modified kexts:"

Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?1ne1zbl4znv

Video worked fine with my 8800GT on the IP35-e although it is a little sluggish, it was identified properly in the device name.

The previously mentioned image allowed me to boot the 10.5.6 retail leopard disc and install it without a problem. However, LAN and Sound did not work out of the box. I am tracking them down one by one.

Hope this helps someone :censored2:

Kalne, would you mind uploading the image to a hosting site for others to download? I tried the link, and it appears the file is no longer there. I and others would greatly appreciate it. I've tried all the others in the guide, and none of them work without some workaround (won't let you get past certain screens, don't play the intro, etc.). Thanks in advance!
