thymceelie Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 I saw the thread about plugins and was curious if there was a general consensus as to the best 3-5 free plugins out there that work with garageband. I'm also curious if there's any other hacks, shortucts or even something like a skin. The functionality of garageband is great for the price (FREE!) but it looks and feels like a bit like a toy. solaar Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 To be quite honest, Logic comes to mind. Perhaps Logic Express to begin with. If you want to talk plugins, what exactly do you need? Synths, sampler, drummie, effects etc? What genres of music? I've never even started Garageband but AFAIK it's compatible with any AU plugin. Don't have any particular needs in mind, but virtual instruments and effects are what I was primarily thinking of.
