u can change it to AHCI, but ur next windows boot will continue with a nice BSOD (if u got windows)

from my experience with AHCI off for osx86, the hdd sizes were off, and it wouldnt boot the dvd properly.

another thing i have noticed, on my old dfi socket 939 board, i didnt have an AHCI option in the bios, on my new Intel board, i do.

BSOD?

I'm Using windows Xp, I downloaded iDeneb, and it doesn't notice my hard drive / let me parition it so I can use it, someone said I needed to make it use AHCI, and I couldn't get it to go to AHCI via BIOS

So how would I?

You need to tell readers your MOBO brand/model and MOBO chipset, as well as your CPU (Intel or AMD) spec etc. See forum members signatures as a guide..... This way you can be helped more fully...... :P
