Hi. I have a problem when I'm going to install iDeneb on my pc. The CD loads up perfect but when I have to chose a drive to install it in I see nothing. Here is a picture of it: s5030286sx4.jpg

I have 2 hdds on my computer. I have made a partition on my second hdd (not c and at the back of the drive) so install iDeneb on.

I have done nothing on my computer except that. I have only downloaded iDeneb and burned it on a dvd (4x speed).

Here is what my computer are made of:

* Intel Core 2 duo E4500 2.2GHz (processor)

* Asus P5K (motherboard)

* 4x Corasair Value S. PC5300 DDR2 1024mb (ram)

* Radeon X1950GF 512mb (Graphic card)

Please help me. I really need mac on my computer. Should I download any other "Mac on pc" software?

Thanks! :o

Read my post.

Maybe you can help me with the last post if you know how to set AHCI :)

i have same problem. select a destination is empty, yet disk utility sees all my partitions. and i have one formated to hfs+ yet it wont mount either.

whats the deal?

hi, have you ever use the disk utility´s?

the same problem i have 2 days before (i´m build a Hackintosh for a friend).

i used different Names for the drives such as "Leopard", Mac, Leo" and other...i don´t know why but after change of the diskname i saw the drives to install and get many times later a successfull install on older hardware such Asrock Board, Intel P4 and so on! Have you choose MBR?

Do I have to made the whole harddrive to AHCI? Can I still use it in windows if I have it set to AHCI? Can I made only a partition harddrive to AHCI?

I have the exact same problem, except i dont use iDeneb, i use IPC's. I've tried with the hard disk in AHCI mode and "Compatibility Mode" with no luck.. Strange thing is, in compatibility mode i can't even see the hard drive for the "first aid" option (in the mac installation), in AHCI I can see them but i can not mount them :S

Hi Danell,

I think you'll find that the problem you're having is because the drive you want to install iDeneb on needs to be unallocated (not formatted). If you are running XP you will need a third-party program to release the space (normally this is referred to as "shrinking"). Although you could try the routine below, it might work:

Boot up from the iDeneb iso disk and after you select your language go to the Utilities menu and select Disk Utility before clicking on Continue.

Your drives should show up in the utility window and you can select the volume you created for the installation and then erase it.

Make sure you select Mac Extended Journalled as the format, and give it a name.

Once the volume is re-formatted you can exit Disk Utility and click Continue on the installation screen.

The volume should now be visible, so select it as the installation drive and click install.

Click Customize on the next screen and check the appropriate boxes as required by your system. These are often not as intuitive as they might be, but if you take notes while exploring your System Device Manager in XP it should become a little clearer. Once you've selected the various fixes and applications click Done and then continue with the installation.

I hope that helps,

good luck
