mtrog007
Hello all, I am currently trying to install osx on my shuttle pc. I have installed osx before using kalyway disc and had it up to 10.5.5 and running beautifully. However, I was getting the UUID error 35 and just wanted some new work, so I decided to reformat the hard drive and erase everything. I currently have windows xp on one partition and the other formatted in Mac ... (journaled) - don't remember what it's called. Im using the boot-132 cd, but everytime I use it, the osx86 installation retail dvd says it cannot be installed on this computer. Does anyone have a guide for this? Like I said before, I have done this before. It's just that I have forgotten all I have learned. I am using these guides: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=128274 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=39253 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=86167 I would appreciated any help offered. Thanks again!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138194-looking-to-install-1055-from-macbook-install-dvd-boot-132/ Share on other sites
Hagar
You can't use a macbook DVD on anything but a macbook. your options are to get hold of a different DVD or rip, patch & reburn the one you have. mtrog007
Would you happen to know how to patch the dvd? Thanks for the enlightenment! I had no idea... I thought those dvds were all the same.
