vaxcine
After a few months of messing with Tiger x86 on my PC, I have reluctantly decided to reformat it to be used as an extra drive in my PC running Windows XP Pro. I know many of you will be smashing your heads against the desk asking "WHY?"! None the less, how can I repartition my HFS+ drive which was created with the image back to a NTFS partition readable by Windows? Partition Magic, as many of you know, cannot read this drive now that it is HFS+ and claims it has a Bad MBR. Any suggestions or steps to take to salvage this HD? Thanks in advance! vaxcine
Windows doesnt see this drive. Partition Magic sees it but doesnt know what to do with it since it thinks it has a bad mbr. Will fdisk see it and be able to remove the partition and reformat/repartition this drive? domino
Go to XP's Disk Managment feature. It will not recognize the file system, but it will see the non-supported partition, so just delete that partition. Be warned that if you use xloader to dual boot xp and OS X, you will not be able to boot into xp again unless you use XP's rescue feaure (CD) and run the method to get your boot.ini and mbr back.
