jackt283
This osx86 thing is tricky. Everytime I get something working something else stops working. Now none of the shutdown, restart, logout commands in the apple menu work. I have to use sudo reboot to restart my computer I know it ain't that bad, but I'm wondering why this is the case. setec
How odd. Try running disk utility to repair permissions and maybe reboot for good measure. If you have to sudo to reboot, it just sounds like a permissions issue to me.
jackt283
ok so now the force quit keyboard shortcut (cmd-opt-esc) doesn't work, but the command from the apple menu does. I'm running my home folder on a FAT32 partition that windows has been using to store and access files. Could this affect it? Tried repair permissions, but I can't repair my home folder because it is on a separate partition to OSX.
jackt283
I changed all the partitions around, now my user folder is on a hfs+ partition and i have also uininstalled all of the 3rd party {censored} that i was fooling around with (virtue - xupport - coctail), and everythingh is working fine. Only several very small problems to sort out now.
