jklmpqo
building a hackintosh for a media center. wanted to know what the minimum power i will need for allways smooth 1080p h.246 playback. would a dual core atom be able to do this or is something more powerful (and with discreet gfx) needed? Synaesthesia
No. If OS X had graphics card assistance of video decoding, it would, but it doesn't. The Atom will manage 720P or so. For 1080P, a Core 2 Duo or Pentium Dual Core faster than 2ghz will work 100%. Even the Mac Mini can decode 1080P without dropped frames. LogicalUser
has anyone experimented with CorePlayer's H.264 support on underpowered hackintoshes?
