MJ5
Hi I was using Mac on my pc for quite some time and had no problems with it besides the fact i needed to run some programs that runned in windows and emulators on mac were not working. I decide to create a partition and installed windows xp on it. When i tried to boot osx, darwin didnt show and it just loaded xp. I started to play with the boot settings and now i have the problem that neither windows nor osx will load. My concern is that i had important stuff on my mac partition and i would like to know is there a way to fix this?if not can i still save my data from the mac partition? My laptop: Dell Latitude d810 used kalaway installer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137291-helpi-screwed-up-my-hackintosh1/ Share on other sites
Suzie's Soliloquy
Download a free trial of Macdrive (Google it), and you can see your mac partition and get all the information you need back from it. (Also, try using something like GParted to set the Mac Partition on your Hard Drive to Active to boot from that one) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137291-helpi-screwed-up-my-hackintosh1/#findComment-971704 Share on other sites
shavex
I would HIGHLY suggest if you are going to mess with multibooting, you get the UBCD (Ultimate Boot CD) so you can recover from MBR problems.
