ashbourne
I am in IT support at a college where the students claim to loose their work in the trash can by accident. I was wondering if there is a way the 'trash' can be blocked from certain users in the OSX or if there is a script that cab be written for this purpose. Any response would be grateful as these students are playing stealth with their courseworks. Chris Bulow
So basically just an updated "my dog ate my homework" then? Forget it - if they're too stupid to not come up with a better excuse than that... applesam161
If they've 'lost something in the trash' surely they should go into the trash and drag it back out. If they then go ahead and empty the trash, it's their own fault. However, if you keep a backup, shoudn't you be able to find the files in the backups? Not that you should have to spent your time doing that, just saying Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/137094-blocking-the-trash-can/#findComment-1010492 Share on other sites
