flymaster
I downloaded the "MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2).iso" which has been reported to work in this forum. When I boot with the "-v"-option it displays this: CODE Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0xabf3e04 : 0x128aea (0x3b9dcc 0x133d3e20 0x130c94 0x0) 0xabf3e44 : 0x399ca3 (0x3dcf98 0x1b997a0 0x133d3e74 0x1b9ffc0) 0xabf3e64 : 0x37daca (0x1b83c00 0x1b83c80 0x1 0x3ae787) 0xabf3ec4 : 0x37f34f (0x1b83c80 0x1b83c00 0x1b9ffc8 0x1b9c568) 0xabf3f44 : 0x37ebb9 (0x1b83c80 0x1b7a080 0x8 0xffffffff) 0xabf3f94 : 0x388382 (0x1b83c80 0x0 0x1b996c0 0x0) 0xabf3fd4 : 0x196b69 (0x1b996c0 0x0 0x1b91458 0x133ba0) Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0x0 kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 8.4.1: Tue Jan 3 18:23:53 PST 2006; root:xnu-792.7.90.obj~1/RELEASE_I386 , but installers works briliant ..... and my system looks perfect ASUS P5LD2 - VM Celeron 336 2.8Ghz LGA Samsung Sata 160 GB 1GB DDR2 667Mhz Lite-on dvd-rw Please help me .... declan
Ok when say system looks perfect and installers work brilliant, do yo mean it installs and boots, but this message looks like a kernal panic, on that board you need to disable sound in the bios when you first install, once installed enable it again. With sound enabled installer won't work. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13662-help-asus-p5ld2-vm-boot-problem/#findComment-86931 Share on other sites

declan
When i installed mine 10.4.5, i initially got a kernal panic but disabled sound, installed and then enabled again. I used the Myzar install, so not sure about your install. Hopefully others can help. thrunner
Check the usual suspects: Checksum MD5 the file, burn DVD slower and verify burn, check DVD boot (some BIOS/drive configuration and DVD drives don't work properly). Search the forum for more details. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13662-help-asus-p5ld2-vm-boot-problem/#findComment-86979 Share on other sites

simisimisimi
i have basically the same setup, disable usb 2.0, disable sound, and use myzars dvd is what i'd suggest. simon Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13662-help-asus-p5ld2-vm-boot-problem/#findComment-87075 Share on other sites
declan
I used myzar successfully first time, though i only disabled audio, i didn't need to disable usb, though usb devices plugged in can cause problems, so disable or remove any devices.
