magicalnumber12
So i have a Zune that I just acquired for free. I was thinking I don't want this thing if it wont work with my Mac. I did some research and the only way to get it to work is if I run parallels or fusion and install the Zune software. I feel that running those programs is a insult to a Mac. There is a program that will read but not write to a Zune. So my next thought was there is such a wealth of more intelligent people than I, I think the next project we should take on is a zPod, a Zune running the iPodOS. I don't want this to be a place for solutions on how to get a zune to work on my Mac. I want this to be a place about talking about hacking a Zune. So what do you think? Is it possible? Should we try it? Am i the first person to suggest it? let me know i am intrested. tranti1
You should post this to the mac programming section maybe people can help you program a zune software for mac (I think there are softwares that work with zune and I think theres some at sf.net) or create a os for zune that works with iTunes. Superhai
Anything is possible, but I cant imagine anyone being interested in working on a such a project. If you want this you should do it yourself. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136479-the-zpod/#findComment-968148 Share on other sites
vbetts
Good luck though, the Zune still doesn't have any homebrew software besides software that's made under the XNA, which doesn't change anything of the zune.
