~J~ Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Hello my name is Jason, And this sadly is my problem: I was trying to get my desktop (hp A6530f) to boot up mac 10.5 (Kallyway) it seems the machine does not load the disk.. I reconfigured the Bios so it loads the DVD, and it does, only now the computer "loads" some text and soon reboots. I saw no warning, errors or problems of any kind For some time now, give or take 2months I searched for and answer and came out with nothing. I am hoping,pleading and begging that someone out of kindness or generosity please aid me in finding a solution. This is not my first time installing mac, I have installed it before on my laptop (toshiba satt series) and with perfect results. Thank you for your short time, and any help given is not only appreciated but valued. ,Jason. Sadly when I load the disk it gives me this "still waiting for root device" and thats after some stuff gets loaded.... Is there something I should enter at the beginning of the startup? like -vanila etc.? Anyway thanks for any help. MGJulius Posted November 14, 2008 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Hey, Question what distro are you using...kalyway 10.5.2 or leo4all4.1 in the mentioned post? I will download Leo4all (latest) and post what ISO distro I used and my progress thank you.... Info-What I will do Download Leo4all now iso being used will be "Leopard 10.5.2 Leo4All Vers.3" (not illegal for me to post the name right?) I am also downloading iDeneb v1.3 (Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5) and which ever takes the least amount of time will be used first. burn with nero 9 at 4x or since its 9pm here 2x or lowest speeds possible And I will post back in a few hours with my results.....Thank you, all for your help. ~J~ Posted November 17, 2008 Author Share Posted November 17, 2008 Progress: I downloaded Ideneb v1.3 Mac 10.5.5, burned with nero 9 at 4x (20mins later and a reboot) voila, everything loads smooth.....I will also try leo4all... I wont install yet untill i get a new HD, or find a clean hp vista 64bit ISO.......and the mac programs I will need. Anyway I came to say thank you again to those that helped me so much . I formated my HD (backed up of course) and tried to install Mac Distro (ideneb v1.3 10.5.5) It read everything, my HD etc. But once I installed the OS and restarted I was given an image or some sort of warning that I needed to Restart yet again, and this keeps happening. Some info Disk-Bruned with Nero 9, slowly at 4x..... I tried to select my Patches (I am on an AMD so I used the AMD patch) no luck....Then I tried installing with all the patches and other options to be safe, I also tried in combonations.... No new bios settings were updated..... My pc Hp Wd HD 640Gb 4 gigs of ram Nvidia graphics Supports all the SS's...(as far as I know) I will be downloading LEO4all and trying that......Anyway thanks for any tips or help on my problem.
