steake
Okay so heres what we have so far. We got a copy of CS4 trial, and we tried to run the installer on two different machines It locks up at the same point on both, near the end when its checking the system profile it just locks up. So far we've tried it on a Dell Dimension 9150, This was installed with iAtkos 4i and i forgot to install a proper SMBIOS, so it knows its a dell, and quite rightly gets rather confused, However we've also installed it on a Dell Optiplex 745, This has a Core 2 Duo in it, and a Mac Pro SMBIOS, and its running vanilla, so i dont see any blatant reason it should fail. It gets to the same point as the dimension, and then sticks. I've tried this on two late 06 MacBooks and the installer works a charm. So its not the download. spclffred
works fine here. I also like the fact they implemented some 3d rendering, but that plugin needs alot of work before the final release. crazyarts101
check the CS4 system requirements, it's needs at least 2GB of ram, with 256 vga card. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136066-cs4-and-osx86/#findComment-1050592 Share on other sites

Perceval l'Hylien
I had the same trouble on my A8Sc running iDeneb (10.5.5). I didn't find any solution, but once I reinstalled the whole X, it did work fine. As I remember, it happened to me because a first install didn't work fine, and it kept parts of this old installation, makes any new attempt to hang at the end of hardware detection. You should check where Adobe implements all his software, to remove them... But I can't help more. ... Maybe running Onyx to clean up everything ? DinoDavid
I've been trying to install Photoshop CS4, but it comes up with this error message. I just reinstalled Mac OSX the other day. Any way around this other than reinstalling again? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/136066-cs4-and-osx86/#findComment-1056280 Share on other sites

Any way around this other than reinstalling again? You formatted your disc using the wrong format, as I see you used HFS+ case sensitive. You'll have to reinstall everything after formatting your drive using HFS+ non-case sensitive (I don't remember perfectly the name).
