klima Posted March 31, 2006 Share Posted March 31, 2006 Hi! I've try to install 10.4.3, 10.4.4, 10.4.5, but for those versione, I need an external monitor. Ok! 10.4.3, work great, but I need a VGA dongle for use notebook without external monitor 10.4.4, idem 10.4.5, work, need vga Dongle, and it not recognize integrated ethernet (broadcom 4401) 10.4.1, work, DON'T need vga dongle, recognize the ethernet port, but it wont work! My question is, can I extract the broadcom driver from 10.4.3 install dvd and put it on 10.4.1? greyhathacker45 Posted March 31, 2006 Share Posted March 31, 2006 10.4.3 extensions are compiled for the new universal bianary format. They will not work on 10.4.1. Respectivly, 10.4.1 extensions will not work on 10.4.3. You may do some searching because I think there is a topic about broadcom adapters on this forum. filmrules Posted March 31, 2006 Share Posted March 31, 2006 I have 10.4.5 running on a nx6110 with the only problem of it not booting correctly (blue screen , but fixed with 2 wire hack). Video, Network, Firewire and audio all work correctly. Go with 10.4.5! I'm trying with "MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL:AMD:SSE3:SSE2).iso" but all i get is a error message while loading the login window... I currently have installed OS 10.4.8 on my hp nx6110 with the following details: - Bluescreen problem at the bootup solved with the 2 wires trick - LAN (Ethernet) problem solved hacking the IONetworkingFamily.kext - Firewire working - Audio working - USB working - QE not working (it says it's not supported...true?) - WiFi not working (please give me some suggestions if you have been able to have it working in someway...)
