sbl03 Posted November 9, 2008 Share Posted November 9, 2008 I am completely lost in the process of installing OSX onto my desktop. I made a bootable Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD for AMD/Intel. When I boot from DVD, it works for like 5 seconds then restarts the computer and boots from HD. I am using Darwin's Kalyway or something like that. I am obviously missing several steps but I can't find a good thread to explain it to me. AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-core Gigabyte AMD motherboard 2GB 533mhz RAM XFX GeForce 8800GT 256MB video card Seagate HDs, connected via SATA cables Don't think I have a networking card... I understand there needs to be some sort of patch for it to work on an AMD processor but I can't find one. Gujal Posted November 9, 2008 Share Posted November 9, 2008 You need to patch the 10.5.2 Kalyway with Zef's Chameleon Bootloader patch. This will enable Phenom CPU support. Gujal Posted November 10, 2008 Share Posted November 10, 2008 You need the following Kalyway 10.5.2 ISO File Zef's Chameleon Patch for Kalyway 10.5.2 PPFomatic (included in Zef's Patch, both OSX and WIN versions) Load PPFomatic, select the ISO and the PPF file and click patch, may take 10 to 15 minutes to patch the ISO.
