bpeugh
I have an Acer Aspire 5610 laptop. I have installed Kalyway 10.5.2 from the disc and then the Kalyway 10.5.3 update before the 10.5.4 Delta Update. I would like to go to 10.5.5 but I am unsure as of how to get there. What would people suggest? I see there is a 10.5.5 9f9 Delta Update out there, should I go for that? MacNutty
You can use the 10.5.5 original update available from Apple but read the instructions (to remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext) to install original update before installing. MacNutty
You need Leopard Combo Update 10.5.5 over http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1055update.html here. To install this update follow theses steps: 1. Open Terminal 2. Type sudo -s and enter password 3. Type while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done 4. Start Installer BUT DO NOT RESTART 5. Go back to your terminal and press Control C to end the script 6. Type nano /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1 7. Replace the line Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext with dsmos.kext 8. Restart Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/134970-how-to-get-from-1054-to-1055/#findComment-956821 Share on other sites
krrr
I would like to add, the MacNutty method has not worked for me, i have tried it 4-5 time in last month with different options on rebooting , it simply gets into reboot loop after installing combo and doing all the needy part.
