Leopard is not properly controlling the fan on my lenovo s10 atom based laptop, so I'm looking for solutions, I'm sure it's related to acpi kexts I'm using, mine currently sleeps/restarts correctly with vanilla kernel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
P2000Camaro Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 I read that the fans are controlled by the Bios on PCs, but macs use software to control them, so if you delete AppleIOThermal or something like that it will work better.. My old laptop used to get really hot in mac, until i deleted that, then it worked just fine.. Research this a little more in the forums, but i know I read it a while ago, cuz i did it..Good luck.
