FullMetal
Have you tried the 10.4.4 Install DVD? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13369-x11-1045-install-help/#findComment-85139 Share on other sites
babyjenniferLB
nope i there is a option not to install the .5 upgrade but im quite happy in 10.4.5 apart form installing X11, its not all that important just for trying out wine. I will be buying a iMac soon anyway but installing X11 on this would really be great so i can still play with it. FullMetal
I worded my question wrong. Have you tried to install X11 from the unpatched 10.4.4 Install DVD (the DVD without the 10.4.5 upgrade)? Dynamite
1) put your Tiger Installation DVD inside your DVD-ROM 2) launch the Terminal application 3) type the following line (quotes and spaces included): open "/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages" 4) a finder window should appear with lots of packages in it 5) double-click X11User.pkg and follow the instructions Hope it will work.... FullMetal
Good job babyjenniferLB! As for Darwine, you'll find that it is nothing compared to Wine in Linux! It still needs some work. Good luck, FM Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13369-x11-1045-install-help/#findComment-85265 Share on other sites

Good luck, FM by the looks of the code its not that bad, im crossing over more of the code form wine source code and crossover office source code. a little form cedega source. with a lot of work and a little work i will be able to build a working app in a couple months that i can install half life 2 on. cedega can allready do that its just porting the code.
