macprodan Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 installed a Fresh OSX last night and applyd 002 update and did the maxxuss amd enabler fix but disk util dont work and i cant install no applications, installer just quits. Purley OS X now, i cant stand windows no more. since trying apple OS X i been hooked. Pure class.. perhaps i should leave the loginwindow alone do install of update and fix from single user mode in the normal way. i did do it a few times as described in the third post without any problems, dont know what i been doing wrong these last few installs.? FullMetal Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I've never had problems like this so wouldn't know how to fix them, but I still recommend Reinstalling 10.4.5 or just 10.4.4 and not applying the update. I had a similar problem, and I was advised to re-install the AMD_enabler - a forum search should show you how to do this... macprodan Posted March 30, 2006 Author Share Posted March 30, 2006 i did that 3 times. think ill leave it for now. and just enjoy the OS cant deal with it today. im gonna make another backup image with all my apps and os on so when i do do the update again if all go pear shaped i can get back where i am now.
