UltimateKylie
I am also having this problem. Can someone provide the driver needed to get my sound working? The link above is dead.
UltimateKylie
Here I found the file. I can confirm this works for my SiS AC97 Audio. Just use the provided script to install the files into your extension folders. If they don't work you can do it manually following the script as a base (like I ended up doing). SiS7012.zip
dwarsch
Here I found the file. I can confirm this works for my SiS AC97 Audio. Amazing. Now that i was waiting YEARS for that patch, where did you get this from?
UltimateKylie
I searched google for it. I'm still not able to find the SiS ATA Controller I need. It is frustrating that links (even to this forum) get broken. My 10.4.6 Tiger Install would be perfect if my Hard Drive wasn't so slow. Everything else works now... intrax
Use kext installer from OSX86Tools or the shellscript from the archive. Are you running leopard ? edit: SUCCES ! got it to work in Leopard 10.5.5 by installing the AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext plugin from the Sis7012.zip package in the AppleAC97Audio.kext and updating the plist for the device-id. GREAT SOUND now ! I'm now installing Leopard 10.5 using iAtkos v7 on a very old Foxconn board. So far all's well except for the sound. 0x71021039 if not mistaken. Could you please give more info on how you got your sound to work please. Do you extract AppleAC97IntelICH from AppleAC97Audio and then using OSX tool to install it or do you install the whole AppleAC97Audio.kext? Could you please upload the Sis7012.zip file? I can't find it. I have a AppleAC97Audio.kext but not sure if it is the right one. Thanks in advance!
