New server build

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at putting together a new hackintosh to run as my server for the time being. This is the gear that I am looking at.

Gigabyte EP45-DS3R - Everything seems to be working on this ie... sleep, shutdown, restart and audio

Intel Q6600 G0 Stepping - Good value CPU and over clocks well.

8GB DDR2 1066MHz

Nvidia 8800 512MB - Not overly expensive but quite good performance.

SATA DVD-RW

What I will need is a raid card so I can have a raid 0 setup on 300GB raptors. If anyone can suggest something I would appreciate it.

Going to be running 10.5 server.

Get a asus P5W DH its getting old yes

but is 100% working (sleep sound wireles ect ect)

And has a working hardware raid onboard! witch saves you some cash.

RAID 0 (Fast Raid) or 1(Mirror) On Asus P5W DH

and all the sata ports work. so you can connect 6 sata drives

but you realy sould ask in the buying section

Raid Cards.... Hmmm...

Good one's would be LSI / Areca then... Highpoint / Promise

Product varies from price to performance ratio, choose wisely... :censored2:
