I can scroll up, but if I move the scrollwheel down it does absolutely nothing. Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Metrogirl Posted March 27, 2006 Share Posted March 27, 2006 I've heard that the tiny nipple on the Mighty Mouse can get screwed up by crumbs, cigarette ash or greasy fingers ... best way to check is to plug it into a PC running XP (it will be recognised and it works like any other mouse) - see if the problem goes away in Windows. If it hasn't, your mouse needs some attention. If it has, there's a software problem on your iMac. nevermind1331 Posted March 29, 2006 Share Posted March 29, 2006 turn the mouse upside down, push into the wheel hard and roll it for a minute or two. this will "supposedly" clean it. iu had this problem and it did work for me.
