mogster
I finally managed to install OS X after switching my HDD onto the first SATA port, using the IDE DVD drive connected to the first port and removing all USB devices. The installation went smoothly, and didn't turn up any nasty errors. However, when I rebooted, I was greeted with a message along the lines of "error encountered whilst starting up computer", a five second pause, followed by a reset. I'm using iDeneb 1.3. Here's my hardware: Pentium D930 3GHz OC'd @ 3.4GHz (MMX, SSE1-3) 2GB Patriot DDR2-800 RAM Asus P5K -Intel P35 / ICH9 -Realtek ALC883 8-channel High-Definition Audio -JMicron JMB363 controller -Attansic (aetheros) Ethernet Port Powercolor Radeon HD4850 512MB * 400GB SATAII 7200RPM Western Digital HDD LG IDE DVD-/+RW (x2) *no driver available. All other devices had drivers listed in the customization menu during installation, I ticked the drivers in accordance to my hardware. Ofcourse, I didn't tick any graphics driver, nor did I choose a kernal (it said vanilla would be installed by default). Is it worth reinstalling with slightly different options selected? (such as another kernal, and all graphics drivers ticked etc...) Any idea on what this could be? -v in chain0 didn't provide any additional information...
