mad.mac
Since this mobo uses the identical chipset as the new macbook system, would it be a good choose for the new hack system? anyone wants to try it out?

MaaseyRacer
Correct me if I am wrong but the new Macbook has a 9400. Also I think this board has been out longer than the MacBook.
dia3olik
9300/9400 are the same except clock speed
MaaseyRacer
If that is the case this would be the perfect board for my set up. I would pick this board up if someone pointed me in the direction of potential Boot132/DFE set ups. I am not going to waste my time with Kalyway or any other distribution. Retail installs only. Also is this going to require the BIOS mods that all the other ASUS boards require. If that is the case I am not sure this is worth it. Update: Gigabyte has a similar board base on the 9400 that appears to be more similar to the MacBook as there is no mention of a 730 NVIDIA chipset: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128363
