Jukka Kuosmanen
What is the best motherboard for OSX -installation? I'm getting a new motherboard today, but don't know which one I should buy. I looked the wiki page (list of supported hardware) but it seems that each MO has problems. I'm looking for (like evebody else) a stable and working environment! If you have working system or any other information, please let me know (limitations, etc.). The installation method is not important at this time. ZarathustraKael
Hi, Jukka Kuosmanen, There is no FULLY Patch-Free Mobo availabe except you'd like to buy a real Mac...What makes it be called Hacintosh is that u make nothing impossible by yourself!--and isn't it the most exciting to get OS X working on your hardware? I suggest you get a sneak peek of these Gigabyte mobos GA-EP35-DS4 GA-EP35-DS3P GA-EP35-DS3R GA-EP35C-DS3R GA-EP35-DS3 GA-EP35-DS3L GA-P35-DS3R GA-P35-DS3 GA-P35-S3 GA-P35-DS3L they are all excellent for OS X, even there are post-install package for the drivers u need:(http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=121805) and PCWiz's suggestions(http://######.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=51&Itemid=46) (Maybe a bit old now...) awelgraven
I have an intel dg31pr that works really well for me. Very stable. Obviously, it needs basic patching (for audio and LAN,) but it doesn't get much simpler than that.
TheBogieMan
I have a GA-G31M-S2L that just needs and audio patch...but to get anything in the way of a decent graphics display you will need to go for a separate card, I used an NVidia, all that needed was NVKush to get everything all whizzy and pretty
