Hi, here is my hardware config and problem

4 HDD

80 GB and 160 GB on EIDE (i think enhanced ide)

40 GB on primary standart ide -master-and a dvd rom nearby slave

250 GB SATA primary on sata 3

On sata i install XP, working perfectly

On 40 GB osx86 installed (10.4.5) working perfectly,

Osx86 recognize sata and can mount it. But no luck with other 2 HDD which on EIDE port that controling ITE8211. Is there any ASUS mobo user solved this problem.

I tried all ide configuration option in bios.

Need some advice.

How did you make it recognize the sata drive? Is it automatic? Or did you have to patch a kext?

I have the same mobo and i installed OSX86 on external USB2.0 drive but OSX86 won't

recognize the sata drive.

the trick is most motherboards have a function to treat the sata raid controller as either a raid controller or as a standard ide controller. you need to check the bios to see which yours is set at and reverse it and boot and see if osx can see it then.

another thought may be that you have installed drive translation software on the drive using a disk from the manufacturer. if so re-run the software and remove this stuff.
