braveskunk Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 safer than changing it for good with osxtools is to place it in the root directory, reboot and at the boot loader prompt type the filename and hit enter. you will make a test run to see if it work ok. if yes change it with osxtools, if not you can just restart and boot normally(without specifing the kernel name and boot prompt) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
