TsubakiSama
Hello I've used Mac OS X for over a year now both in school for my media classes and at home with my computer at sign. However I'm not a hardcore gamer but I really like to play World of Warcraft sometimes but I use it more for iMovie, iDVD, Final Cut Pro and such and I find those programs real good! OS X is a hell of a operating system too and I really like it but I really want a real Mac so I don't need to worry about waiting for cracked OSX86 versions and so on. Is it worth selling my PC for a Mac Core Duo 1.66GHz? As I said I don't play that much games except for World of Warcraft and I think the GMA950 can handle it quite well and I really don't want to use cracked OS X anymore since it makes me feel kinda dirty using a cracked operating system. aldimeneira
The Mac Mini isn't really meant for gaming. If you want performance you can buy the $599 model and upgrade the processor with up to 2.16 ghz Intel Core Duo. I will suggest getting an iMac instead (it has a display and a much better graphic card). I know it may be difficult to wait (I'm saving for a 17" iMac) but just be patient, as long as you don't need a Mac now for work or w/e. Dynamite
He said he's not a hardcore gamer so: The Mac mini is perfectly fine. It can even run Battlefield 1942 really well!! Let alone warcraft! I would not worry. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12900-mac-mini-core-duo-166ghz/#findComment-81858 Share on other sites
TsubakiSama
Thanks, I'm now going to get rid of my jumbo jet for PC cuz it sounds like hell and getting a Intel Mac Mini Core Duo, but I'm thinking of getting one of those new Intel PowerMacs later on.
