charlyc
Anybody know how to change the icon for a .kext. I was trying to edit the info.plist of a kext and by mistake I clicked on the kext itself and know I have a folder icon instead of the original. Thank in advance
SticMAC™
What works for me..... RIGHT click on it go to "get info", check under Name & Extension, some times there is a double extension! If not add a silly extensions to it like .TXT if it asks you if you want to use it the say yes, it will now show it as a Doc, then remove it again, but don't add anything! it should then change to the icon that looks like a black credit card, once you have done this add .kext and it will ask to confirm, you should then be OK!! alpha2zulu00
If that doesn't work, try opening Get Info, clicking the icon at the very top of the Get Info window, and press Backspace.

Maniac10
First you have to open the icon file with preview and copy the image, now go to the kext and get it's info, click once on the little upper-left icon (it will highlight) and paste there. It should work cause I've just done that.
