declan
I think that normally points to no root device, try booting with -v, verbose mode, it will give you more idea of whats wrong. Metrogirl
You are almost certainly having hardware issues - probably the chipset but I'm no expert on SiS installations. As Declan says, let us know what the boot -v gives you. Have you searched the Wiki for the hardware compatibility? seano
I think that SiS {censored}set is your problem.... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12877-what%C2%B4s-bad/#findComment-82092 Share on other sites
Dementor
I´ll install my OSx86 dvd in another pc to really know if the problem is in my hardware. My dvd is "Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger for Intel x86.iso" and I patched it with "Bender-Marklar-Tiger-patch-Test3.ppf", in a couple of days I´ll try it with a patched bootable dvd "Mac OS X 10.4.4 5 osx86", if it doesn´t work i´ll be sure that the problem is in my harware. thrunner
http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?s=...indpost&p=67961 Sis 648 should work but without UDMA. I tried to hack & compile some drivers for the sis chipset, but never managed to make them work. So it works, but HDD is rather slow...
