MacNutty
You need the suitable JMicron kext or modified AppleIntelPIIXata.kext for making it working. Just google it and you will find a solution. davidcmc
Tried both JMicron.kext (that one broke my system) and modified AppleIntelPIIXata.kext (from this forum) and didn't work. I think that buying a SATA DVD is a better solution. scj312
My only remaining SATA ports are the sata_raid ports, don't think that would work for a DVD drive would it? scj312
I fixed my problem too, had to change the jumper (#@%$) to cable-select from secondary which was because I used to have an IDE HDD.
