I installed Mac OS X 10.4.4DVD on my system and everything works grate eccept that I am using Swedish language for installation, when I restart after installation complete, it says that LANGUGE CHOOSER is missing defaulting to English. I can change the language aftewords in International prefs this no big deal, but still the registrasion and logingwindow remane in English. What is missing on the DVD? Can I putt the missing file(s) back to it?

Any ides?

Hi. I have had a similar situation with the same DVD. In my case my language is Italian, but I only had English.

I think it depends on the fact that they took some files off from the install DVD in order to make it fit in a single layer DVD. In fact, this problem started with the 10.4.4 version of Tiger, and not with the previous one.

So in my case, I had to install 10.4.3 first and then update to 10.4.5 through the Myzar DVD.

I hope I could help. Let me know.

Ye thats true! But it must be away to find the missing file and put it back. I have patched the restore DVD with the PatchIt script I found non the net, and I cant see that it removing any athor files than Xcode to freeup space to fit on single DVD. I would very much like to know what are these files?

It's right. After installation, you can change the language in System Preferences -> international, ONLY for your user, not for the entire system. If you add other users they can set these own languages, but I guess you don't need this.

You can change the entire system language with some utilities, I know it is possible with Cocktail TE, but now I am away from my computer and I don't know exactly tell you how. Get Cocktail and dig.

Good luck!
