MacNutty
Hi, After all the unsuccessfull struggle and pain which I took for last 3 days to get QE support back on my Leopard 10.5.5, finally I got it back by installing the NVidia Universal Installer from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SWC1S2D9 and Titan.kext from http://www.mediafire.com/?amtmwqztiqz. Earlier I was using NVinject which was not supported after 10.5.5 upgrade, I also tried NVKush, Natit, Netkas everything finally Titan.kext worked. Here is the proof:
dakine
Have you tried EFIStudio, it worked for me.

dakine
Have you removed all NV Installer, Titan, NVInject kext files and deleted extensions.mkext file. With EFIStudio you shouldn't need or want any of those files
MacNutty
I only removed the kexts ATIRadoen*. When I tried to removed other kexts my system did not boot. So I kept all other kexts as extra kexts won't harm the system.

i4get
same here, for some reason EFI GFX String refuses to work with my 8800 GTX though it worked fine before 10.5.5 And I don't have any injector. Used the 316MB Mac OS X 10.5.5 Update from apple.com from 10.5.4 to 10.5.
36Joules
I had to use MacNutty's method as well on my 10.5.5 AMD rig. Unfortunately, what this appears to be doing is rolling back the OpenGL framework to pre-10.5.5 so that injectors/Titan can work again. I'm left with a hybrid 10.5.4/10.5.5 system (+all the sync and security upgrades, - all the graphics updates), but at least QE/CI are back. EFI strings work great on my Vanilla Intel system, but were a dead end on my AMD system, as were any gymnastics with the GeForce/NVDAResman/NVDANV50 kexts. In fact, Natit/Titan don't work with my AMD setup (8800GS has a particular NVCap string to power dual DVI displays), only NVinject with the older OpenGL files in the universal NVidia Installer. I guess I'll have to wait for a smarter person to come along with an integrated distro based on 10.5.5 for my AMD. Or maybe I'll just upgrade... MacNutty
Check out Titan web site for other supported graphics cards... http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Titan
36Joules
I decided to try NVkush, which had never worked for me in the past. This time it did. Wow. For anyone else with an older AMD system + nVidia PCIe card and no luck with EFI strings/Natit/Titan or NVinject (even the new 0.22), here's what I did to get QE/CI with 10.5.5: 1) Updated with AMD modded delta 10.5.5 update(old 9.4 kernel and system) from working system with 10.5.4 and NVinject 0.21 (full QE/CI). Should boot after update with no problem except QE/CI not supported. 2) Installed modded NVkush - added my device ID (0x060610de), NVCAP string, and new string with VRAM size (00000018 for 384MB) 3) Changed Info.plist in GeForce, NVDAResman, NVDANV50 to reflect device ID (no probe score modifications necessary) 4) Removed NVinject, cleared extensions cache, rebooted -> full QE/CI with dual monitors via dual DVI outs I have no idea what's different about NVkush vs NVinject, but props to Diabolik. It DOES work with the 10.5.5 Open GL framework.
lugui
Is there a need to remove some kext first before installation ? Lugui
gorq
another solution is the nvinstaller v52 it is working flawlessly and no kext needed because its already included in the installer...
