MMatlock
So I was aware that secondary monitor outs on laptops dont work right? But i decided to test, plugged in my monitor. Got nothing. Then I rebooted. Now my laptop screen is blank but i have the picture on my secondary monitor. There is some strange artifacting (the desktop is a hair larger than the monitor resolution, when i move windows the graphics explode in blue, but mouse pose or jsut minimizing and restoring fixes this, curiously the movement of dashboard doesnt cause this graphic explosion and neither does scrolling, just window movement) I was just curious as to whether or not anyone else has observed similar behavior and if not, whether this might be a clue towards getting dual output working? I am running an HP zd8000 laptop with X600 mobility graphics (QE and CI enabled with koverg patch)
mr_christer
just for the interest: if you have the gma950 do you get second monitor support?perhaps even tv out?
ozzie123
The second monitor works with my laptop. The problem is, without it, my laptop doesn't show anything. Currently I'm browsing with dual monitor, woohoo! (and no, I don't think it meant that much for my productivity)
