Fatty
Just looking for some input from the photo people. I have both Lightroom and Aperture and need to teach my wife. I want to teach her with just one aplication though so she does not get confused your input would be greatly appreciated.
jaspertandy
In my opinion, Aperture is a little less intimidating than Lightroom from a beginners point of view. I've used both quite extensively and, to me, Aperture seems much more finished. I've not used Lightroom for a good few months, so I'm probably quite out of date now. That being said, there seems to be a lot more room for extending Lightroom with processing presets, which is quite cool. Guess it just depends what you want; flexibility/extensibility, go for Lightroom. Simplicity/interface, go for Aperture. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way though. haibane
So far from what I have used since lightroom came out has been lightroom. IMO its probably the best photo editing software out there that isn't extensive like PSCS3

weaksauce12
I was a Lightroom fan until Aperture 2.0 came out. Blown away, love 2.1 as well! Plus it supports plugins now...for general color correction stuff, I don't even have to open Photoshop
