Lkr
Is there a guide for this? I want an extra partition for ME or 98, but I have heard that VMWare is better. So, how do I use VMWare, and is it free? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12706-installing-windows-me-or-98-on-vmware/ Share on other sites
xequence
VMware is not free (legally). But there is a 30 day trial. I dont really think a guide would be nessecary. It is just the same as installing it normally basically. And by better, well, if you mess up then nothing breaks in your computer. But it is slower, but if you have a modern system it probably wouldent make a big difference for running windows 98. (Why run ME? Everyone hates it ). I have accually messed up things (partition things) pretty badly when a windows 98 install went wrong. But if you have nothing to loose, or are confident in the fact you can install it right, go for it and do a normal non vmware install. It will perform lots better Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12706-installing-windows-me-or-98-on-vmware/#findComment-80601 Share on other sites
