Should I do it?

Hello,

I have been wanting to buy a Macbook for over two years now, and never can come up with the spare cash. I own a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop which I bought new towards the end of 05. It has an SSE2 Intel mobil processor. I understand that the SSE2 is not as good for this setup as the SSE3, although I'm not sure what the difference is here.

My goal here is to achieve a fully functioning laptop with OSX (preferably Lepard). Is this a reasonable expectation?

I was happy to find that there are drivers for both my graphics card and my WiFi card. I've been told that laptop keyboards are usually PS/2. I have no idea whether mine is, but if it is, is it possible to make it work?

Hey,

I would do it. What do you have to lose, not like your laptop's gonna explode.

Just make sure you select a SSE2 kernel to use in the installation.

Good luck.

EDIT: Also select the PS2 Controller fix to use your internal laptop and trackpad. Almost all laptops have PS/2 input devices.
