zfire89
My old mobo died and I would like to know what people would recommend for a new socket 478 mobo with no onboard graphics, good overclocking utilitys, and micro-atx form factor. And has to be fully compatible with 10.4.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12616-good-socket-478-board/ Share on other sites
Riffer
I use a Asus P4P-800se deluxe but i think anything with an ICH5 or ICH6 chip-set will do the trick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12616-good-socket-478-board/#findComment-79901 Share on other sites
mrhotwings
i'm using ecs 848P-A. cheap $30 ? socket 478 400/533/800 fsb mobo. it's atx though i think. audio, ethernet, works. unsure about performance. sucks for overclocking. quixos
ASRock P4DUAL-915GL, 10.4.5, CI, QE, flying high. 58 dollars is cheap for something that "just works". http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=asrock...=Search+Froogle if you want more than one hard drive, you'll need one or two sata to ide adapters, like the one below. http://www.usb-ware.com/serial-ata-ide-converter.htm Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/12616-good-socket-478-board/#findComment-79921 Share on other sites

quixos
i've been using mine since august or whenever deadmoo came out. works great. triple booting linux, xp and osx. the only board i knew of that allowed onboard video to remain active with a card in the pci-e and/or agp slot. therefore allowing use of powerful video card for windows gaming, and onboard supported video for osX. truely useful dual booting. you had a bad board or something? what specificially didn't you like about it? details man! details!
