Hi,

i've got a problem with my installation of 10.4.8 tubgirl.

I've installed it (install took about 1:30h) and it hangs during booting.

The last lines it shows in verbose mode is:

HFS: created HFBT on Ohne Titel 1(name of my HDD)

I've left it for another hour on and then it shows:

System Sleep

I've added few screenshots.

When i boot from the tubgirl-dvd and use rd=disk0s1 it boots perfectly BUT the PS/2 Keyboard DOES NOT work...so I'm hangin' at the "Before we begin" screen that tells me that no keyboard is connected.

I've already tried to use the JaS 10.4.8 mach_kernel and then it's still waiting for root device.

My system specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.00GHz SSE2 (130nm)

MSI OEM (Hewlett-Packard) Mainboard with SB450 chipset

512 MB DDR-400 RAM

ATi X700 Pro 256MB VRAM (GDDR3)

40 GB PATA Drive

I've been running Leo4x200 for a while without any problems , but it's a bit slow with 512MB RAM and Leo doesn't support CI/QE with my x700(btw: iDeneb v1 works ,but same problem...)

Guys, if you can help me , plz do it 'cause i'm helpless! ;)

Thx,

Adam

Thanks, i've tried your kernel and your extensions , but it doesn't work it hangs with the same error...

I haven't got any RAID at all (just my 40GB IDE and my Win XP SATA 250GB).

The EIDE Controller is integrated (no PCI or PCI-E controller).

I've got a uphuck 10.4.9 (v.1.3) universal DVD lying around. Should I try this one?

I've already tried JaS 10.4.7 , JaS 10.4.8 (no PPF) and this tubgirl 10.4.8.

EDIT:

Why does booting from DVD with rd=disk0s1 work??? With this combination it boots quite fast , but my PS/2 keyboard is not working.

I've already tried to copy the mach_kernel from tubgirl DVD to my HDD , but it is the same as the installed one and when i installed from DVD , my HDD (that means my EIDE controller ,too) was recognized , so it should be a kernel error.
