I had XP on primary partition, and installed OSX on a secondary partition. But now I can only get into OSX, and only by having the Kalyway DVD in the drive (and not pressing any keys to install). I can however see the xP partition/files from OSX.

I can't boot Gparted for some reason, won't load. "Unable to find a medium containing a live file system"

Is there a way to make the XP partiton active again from OSX?

Insert your install dvd, like you would if you wanted to install, get to the installer and you should see bar on the top, click on utilities. Now click on Terminal.

Type

diskutil list

To find out which partition number XP is on. It should be on 1.

Next type in

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

PRESS ENTER

flag 1

PRESS ENTER

update

PRESS ENTER

write

PRESS ENTER

exit

PRESS ENTER

reboot

PRESS ENTER

Remove your dvd from drive as the computer reboots and it should go into XP.
